ABOUT KITTY FINER

Kitty Finer is an artist, songwriter and entertainer, she writes and paints by day and comes out at night to sing songs, host bars and entertain.

She is the artist behind ‘Artists Behind Bars’ – an event she concocted which brings together artists who share an interest in spontaneous structures of hospitality and the (part time) role of bartending.  Artists Behind Bars has manifested numerous times in various places: at Matt’s Gallery, The Horse Hospital- London and most recently in collaboration with Grand Union Gallery and Fierce Festival in Birmingham.

She has performed in both planned and impromptu performances across the world: from festivals in Japan to lobbies in Las Vegas.

Along with her band, Kitty has performed in legendary music venues, opening for The Hinds, The Veils and The Pogues.

In recent years she has performed solo at The British Library, Latitude Festival and on Richard Wilson’s A Slice of Reality.

Kitty has devised and led workshops for Milton Keynes Art Centre, The Barbican Centre, Bath Spa Art School, Syracuse University and Art Angel.
