Making Merch: Vinyl Sleeve Making with 3Rex

Come along this summer to design and create your own merch with 3Rex band members!

Come along this summer to design and create your own merch with 3Rex band members and artists Kitty Finer and Alex Brenchley. Kitty and Alex will help you design a fun and simple Vinyl Sleeve for you to take away with you!

We will be doing each workshop twice, you are welcome to come to do both or just what suits you and your family.

Alex Brenchley is an artist & cartoonist based in London. He has exhibited and performed at V & A Museum, Barbican Arts Centre, and The Koppel Project. His drawings and cartoons have been used by The BBC, NHS, and Literary Review, and his This England cartoon series ran in New Statesman magazine from 2017-2023. His webcomic, Life After Cancer, was published last year by the Wellcome Collection. He designed the album artwork and merch for Noah and the Whale with Universal Records.

Kitty Finer is an artist, songwriter and entertainer, she writes and paints by day and comes out at night to sing songs, host bars and entertain.

She is the artist behind ‘Artists Behind Bars’ – an event she concocted which brings together artists who share an interest in spontaneous structures of hospitality and the (part time) role of bartending.  Artists Behind Bars has manifested numerous times in various places: at Matt’s Gallery, The Horse Hospital- London and most recently in collaboration with Grand Union Gallery and Fierce Festival in Birmingham.

She has performed in both planned and impromptu performances across the world: from festivals in Japan to lobbies in Las Vegas.

Along with her band, Kitty has performed in legendary music venues, opening for The Hinds, The Veils and The Pogues.

In recent years she has performed solo at The British Library, Latitude Festival and on Richard Wilson’s A Slice of Reality.

Kitty has devised and led workshops for Milton Keynes Art Centre, The Barbican Centre, Bath Spa Art School, Syracuse University and Art Angel.

  • For access info about getting to Turf and the Turf space, click here.

Turf aims to be a space where all are welcomed & respected. We ask all attendees to align with this spirit when booking and support us in creating a welcoming & collaborative atmosphere together. We ask that everyone is;

  • Kind and respectful in our language and behaviour towards others. Turf is a space which is anti racism, sexism, homophobia and ableism.
  • Considerate of others’ time; allowing others room to speak & engage.
  • Respectful of the space itself as belonging to many people, treating the space & objects with care.
  • Attend wherever possible: In 2023, around 30% of people booking free tickets didn’t turn up! Our free tickets are limited and in high demand. Every person who doesn’t turn up means someone else can’t attend, so please let us know if you can’t make it to free up a space. If you don’t attend twice or more without letting us know, you may be restricted from booking again.
