Community Memberships

~ Sow, Grow & Bloom together at Turf! ~

Turf is an artist-run space and registered charity located in central Croydon, run by Croydon-connected artists.

We created our Community membership scheme in 2024 for creatives, creative organisations and groups needing affordable space to run events and / or workshops on a regular basis.

Our Community Membership scheme runs on a 3 tiers model. The tiers include Seed, Sprout, and Vine, and vary depending on the amount of times you’d like to use the space per month. Our prices range between £50 per month & £150 per month depending on what your requirements are.

SEED

Use of our Back Workspace when free, Communal Kitchen & shared access to messy making Facilities Space on an ad-hoc basis.
You will have a key to the space and a building & facilities induction.
Access to our Slack channel for studio, desk & community members.
Would suit a creative co-worker, or any creatives not needing fixed permanent space.

Pricing

Monthly membership fee of £50

(plus initial deposit of £50, key deposit £30)

SPROUT

Little Turf Workroom for workshops or events up to two per month. Any space bookings need to be booked in prior to ensure the space is available.
Use of our Back Workspace Communal Kitchen & shared access to messy making Facilities Space.
You will have a key to the space and a building & facilities induction.
Access to our Slack channel for studio, desk & community members.
Would suit a creative or organisation looking to test out a series of workshops.

Pricing

Monthly membership fee of £75

(plus initial deposit of £75, key deposit £30)

VINE

Use of Little Turf Workroom for workshops or events up to six times per month. Any space bookings need to be booked in prior to ensure the space is available.
Back Workspace when free, Communal Kitchen &shared access to messy making Facilities Space.
You will have a key to the space and a building & facilities induction.

Access to our Slack channel for studio, desk & community members.

Would suit a creative or organisation looking to run regular events.

Pricing

Monthly membership fee of £150

(plus initial deposit of £150, key deposit £30)

Turf’s space is approx 5 minutes from West Croydon station and 10 minutes from East Croydon station.

All fees from memberships go directly back into supporting Turf’s programme, collectives and future.

Studio, desk & community membership benefits:

A studio-member led programme of free workshops & opportunities. Get as involved as you’d like!
Access to Turf facilities and equipment including tools, A/V equipment, creative Access equipment and libraries.
Free use of our shared workspaces.
1-1 tutorials with Turf staff & exhibiting artists.
Opportunities to exhibit & run workshops at Turf as part of our main programme.
Access to all workshops & events, even if fully booked.
An artist profile on Turf’s website and promotion of your work via Turf’s channels.
