Below are details for the two closest car parks and cheapest rates for parking all day:
Britannia Car Park ‘Whitgift Centre Car Park’ is the car park which backs on to the Turf unit upper floor, but has no lift and precarious ramp access! Disabled bays available. Card payment only.Note that the ‘All day’ ticket is misleading and only goes until 7pm! Take care not to leave later than it says on your ticket, as people have been fined!
The ticket machine is against the wall across the other side of the car park, directly opposite our fire exit.
For our other unit, ‘Little Turf’;
There’s step-free access to the exhibition, project and workshop spaces.
We offer free audio guided tours; email email@example.com.
Guide dogs welcome (a bowl of water will be ready for your guide!).
Gender neutral toilets are available on site, one has step-free access but neither has feasible wheelchair access.
Accessible toilets are available in the Whitgift Centre (a short walking distance away from Turf Projects). It may be possible to hire a portable hoist if you ask us in advance, please contact us to find out more.
We offer regular Family Art Fun Days at Turf, and there’s always a fun activity guide available for families to try. Visit our upcoming events page to find out when the next family event is.
We also offer space for pushchairs and buggies.
We offer schools workshops and group bookings! Please contact us if you would like to make a booking from a school or plan a group visit so we can make sure you get the most out of Turf!
It may be possible to book an interpreter with advance notice request (please make your request at least two weeks in advance of when you will need an interpreter to allow us to book if possible). If we cannot book an interpreter we will discuss alternative support we can offer. Contact us to make your request.
This space is being built and is currently a work in progress. We will update the page when it is ready to access. The quiet space will be offered to visitors away from any exhibition or public event noises, a private area for breastfeeding, prayer or quiet reflection.
Little Turf is our little studio workspace based at a separate unit on Keeley road, open by appointment only at Keeley Road, Croydon, CR0 1TF.
It’s 3-5 minutes walk from both George Street and Centrale Tram Stops, and 7-10 minutes walk from West and East Croydon stations.
Est 2013, Turf is Croydon’s homegrown art space; free exhibitions & workshops, studios & collectives run by creatives for creatives. Find more about us here ( ･ิ ͜ʖ ･ิ)
