Artists Lunchtime Feedback: Led by Becky Bone

Our free feedback sessions are a chance to get feedback on your work from a practicing artist in a supportive and friendly environment!

Taking place each month, our free feedback sessions are a chance to get feedback on your work from a practicing artist in a supportive and friendly environment. All kinds of creative work are welcome.

September’s feedback session will be led by current Fungus Press residency artist Becky Bone.

ABOUT BECKY BONE

Becky Bone is a writer, performer, and facilitator from London. Her writing began in the form of stand-up and sketch comedy, but since studying English and Creative Writing as a mature student, she mostly writes poetry, short stories, and creative nonfiction. She is inspired by art, place, the humour and magic of the mundane, and the conflicting relationship between nature and the city’s human-built environment.

Recent work includes Tributary, an impressionistic poem following Becky’s walks and cycles along the River Wandle. In 2023, she performed Tributary and facilitated a walking/writing workshop as part of a heritage commission for London Borough of Sutton’s ‘Stories from the Shed’. As an accomplished improviser and interactive theatre maker, Becky has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, Camden Fringe, Vaults Festival, and various music festivals including BoomTown and Secret Garden Party. Her poetry and short stories have been published online and in print with Streetcake, Culture Matters, Spread The Word, and Metal Culture.

Turf aims to be a space where all are welcomed & respected. We ask all attendees to align with this spirit when booking and support us in creating a welcoming & collaborative atmosphere together. We ask that everyone is;

  • Kind and respectful in our language and behaviour towards others. Turf is a space which is anti racism, sexism, homophobia and ableism.
  • Considerate of others’ time; allowing others room to speak & engage.
  • Respectful of the space itself as belonging to many people, treating the space & objects with care.
  • Attend wherever possible: In 2023, around 30% of people booking free tickets didn’t turn up! Our free tickets are limited and in high demand. Every person who doesn’t turn up means someone else can’t attend, so please let us know if you can’t make it to free up a space. If you don’t attend twice or more without letting us know, you may be restricted from booking again.
