ARTISTS LUNCHTIME CRIT: Turf x Lenses of Croydon – Led by Paul Civati

TURF x LENSES OF CROYDON CRIT!

SAT 26 NOVEMBER 12-2PM // AT TURF GALLERY // FREE TO ATTEND // LED BY PAUL CIVATI

Calling all photographers, image-makers, artists, art students, graduates alike! Turf have teamed up with local camera club Lenses of Croydon for a special photography-focused crit. LoC have become an essential part of Croydon and South London’s lens-based life, sharing photographic skills and knowledge with an impressive range of talks, forums and networking events.

This crit has a particular focus on photography from our host Paul Civati, but all forms of work are welcomed for discussion. Email us your images beforehand at at info@turf-projects.com if you’d like us to get images up full scale on our projector!

// ABOUT TURF CRITS

Taking place every last Saturday of the month, our lunchtime crits give artists a chance to get feedback on their work from a practicing artist in a supportive and friendly environment.

Simply bring along your work, and we’ll take turns to discuss it and give feedback for each participant.

Participation isn’t mandatory – you’re welcome to simply come and view the works and take part in the discussions. If you’d like to participate in showing your artwork, it’s ideal to send imagery of or a link to the work you wish to show in the crit in advance so we can get it up on our projector! Email us at info@turf-projects.com to submit along with any requirements for AV equipment and/or install instructions.

// ABOUT PAUL CIVATI

WORKSHOP CODE:

Turf aims to be a space where all are welcomed & respected. We ask all attendees to align with this spirit when booking and support us in creating a welcoming & collaborative atmosphere together. We ask that everyone is;

  • Kind and respectful in our language and behaviour towards others. Turf is a space which is anti racism, sexism, homophobia and ableism.
  • Considerate of others’ time; allowing others room to speak & engage.
  • Respectful of the space itself as belonging to many people, treating the space & objects with care.
  • Attend wherever possible: In 2023, around 30% of people booking free tickets didn’t turn up! Our free tickets are limited and in high demand. Every person who doesn’t turn up means someone else can’t attend, so please let us know if you can’t make it to free up a space. If you don’t attend twice or more without letting us know, you may be restricted from booking again.
