“Hi I’m Grey, I have just completed a course in Photography at Croydon College. I am excited to be selected for this artist residency spot at Turf Projects where I will be creating a project about Jamie Reid, an artist and activist from Croydon.
I am looking forward to bringing my experience of alternative music and protest photography into this project. I am researching post war Croydon and the socioeconomic conditions at the time which influenced Jamie Reid’s work and the relevance of this to Croydon today.”
Grey will be creating new work in response to Jamie Reid and showcasing their work in our Window Box space in September!
