Groundwerk is a monthly series of free practical workshops for artists and creatives wishing to gain the skills to support their practice.
This workshop is free to attend and open to all but booking is recommended as spaces are limited.
// ABOUT KEVIN HUNT
Kevin Hunt is an artist, independent curator and lecturer based in Liverpool with a predominantly sculptural practice. He was a director of The Royal Standard, an artist-led gallery, studios and social workspace in the city (2007-11), co-founded CAVE, an artist-led art fair that coincided with the opening of Liverpool Biennial (2012) and co-curated MODEL, a flexible, experimental research based platform for artist-led activity programmed to run concurrently with Liverpool Biennial (2014).
He recently released the ARTIST-LED HOT 100 (volume ii), a follow on from his 2013 publication with a-n ‘celebrating fledgling and often fleeting artist-led achievements whilst highlighting their pivotal importance to the UK’s artistic ecology’.
In the Autumn of 2017 he will launch fs, a free school running for 12 months in Liverpool and is currently exhibiting a new body of work in Abacus at Bluecoat, Liverpool, ‘an interactive exhibition that encourages visitors of all ages to break the traditional rules of a contemporary art space’
