Family Art Fun Day: Propagation Stations!

Join us at Turf Projects in growing tiny things and turning them into something big!!

We’re running it again!

Join us at Turf Projects in growing tiny things and turning them into something big!!

Plant your very own baby spider plant, create and decorate your very own pot, take it home and watch it grow! This free workshop is for children and their families to explore together. Inspired by ‘Propagate This‘ we are using small pieces to grow new shoots that can be shared and replanted; the beginning of something new.

This workshop is most suitable for ages 5-11, but all are welcome to come and have a go!

Make sure to book a free ticket in advance. We run the same Family Fun Day workshop twice per exhibition. Please only book one of these dates, to allow as many families as possible to get involved!

COVID THINGS TO NOTE:

This is the first Family Art Fun Day to be held indoors since 2019, we work with lots of vulnerable people and in order to keep everyone safe we ask that if you book for the workshop we would really recommend anyone over the age of 11 to wear a mask unless you are exempt throughout the workshop. We also recommend using a rapid flow test before coming to the event.

There will be options of sitting on mats or tables to keep households separate.

WORKSHOP CODE:

Turf aims to be a space where all are welcomed & respected. We ask all attendees to align with this spirit when booking and support us in creating a welcoming & collaborative atmosphere together. We ask that everyone is;

  • Kind and respectful in our language and behaviour towards others. Turf is a space which is anti racism, sexism, homophobia and ableism.
  • Considerate of others’ time; allowing others room to speak & engage.
  • Respectful of the space itself as belonging to many people, treating the space & objects with care.
  • Attend wherever possible: In 2023, around 30% of people booking free tickets didn’t turn up! Our free tickets are limited and in high demand. Every person who doesn’t turn up means someone else can’t attend, so please let us know if you can’t make it to free up a space. If you don’t attend twice or more without letting us know, you may be restricted from booking again.
