Become wildlife researchers! Inspired by Becky Lyon’s work, ‘Muntjac‘, we’ll explore animals that are brilliant at hiding and make sneaky bookmarks to tuck inside books. Stacey McGonigal will show you how to use simple origami folds, recycled paper, scrap fabrics, googly eyes, pens and crayons to create your own animal corner bookmarks. You can choose animals that camouflage themselves like leaf insects, snowy foxes, moths, owls or octopuses. Smaller children can colour in ready-made animal shapes too.
Our current gallery show ‘Tending‘ continues to grow roots planted last year in ‘At the Meadow’s Edge‘, inviting us to notice, care for and relate to each other and the environment. Artworks awaken the senses through inviting us to rest and reflect. The show is free to visit and will be open before and after the workshop to inspire your bookmark making.
