Extending tendrils from the gallery space at Turf Projects, artists from Tending present newly commissioned work across our public billboard project, Fungus Press.

Continuing work developed at Reeve’s Corner, Lina Ivanova shares a composite of all the pieces created in previous cyanotype community workshops at Reeves Corner during our late summer’s programme, At the Meadow’s Edge. Using participants’ cyanotypes, the outcomes have been brought together into two collages that are both collective and individual.

The works reflect the shared experience of making together while also highlighting each participant’s unique contribution, capturing the scale, rhythm, and energy of the workshops. They serve as a visual archive of time spent exploring light, process, and collaboration, where each mark carries both personal and communal memory.

At Park Hill Park, Becky Lyon’s project Muntjac was prompted into being by encounters with the ‘invasive’ muntjac deer inspiring thinkings and writings around belonging, Britishness, xenophobia and conservation bias in England. For Tending, a diverse set of voices join the conversation to share how other knowledges, usually marginalised at the edges can enrich, trouble and otherwise make other forms of nature stewardship possible.

Meera Shakti Osborne shares ‘Antenna in the Mud’ and ‘I love you and I want genocide to stop’ at Wandle Park. Antenna in the mud sending out and receiving signals. Transmission through our fingertips live and direct. Oh no – that’s the word. Somewhere between hiding and seeing everything. A hope and a prayer. Apocalypse and utopia sitting side by side. Running away. Reaching out. Finding you finding me. Lost and found on loop.

And June Jordan writes

I SAID I LOVED YOU AND I WANTED

GENOCIDE TO STOP

I SAID I LOVED YOU AND I WANTED AFFIRMATIVE

ACTION AND REACTION

I SAID I LOVED YOU AND I WANTED MUSIC

OUT THE WINDOWS

I SAID I LOVED YOU AND I WANTED

NOBODY THIRST AND NOBODY

NOBODY COLD

I SAID I LOVED YOU AND I WANTED I WANTED

JUSTICE UNDER MY NOSE
