James H has been a member of the MOSS collective since 2021. He uses the houseplants that are scattered around Turf as a starting point for his work, enjoying the process of capturing their patterns and shapes with watercolours, pens, and pencils. James has begun experimenting by creating more abstract versions of these plants, inverting their natural colours to explore new visual possibilities. This experimentation has led him to explore charcoal , creating abstract patterns and drawings from memories. These often include people as well as plants and shapes.
